Metro53 - New Delhi (Web Desk): A Kuwait–Hyderabad flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Mumbai after a bomb threat later found to be false, Indian media reported.
According to reports, Hyderabad airport authorities received a threatening email claiming that explosive material had been placed on the aircraft. Following the alert, the flight was diverted to Mumbai instead of proceeding to Hyderabad.
Indian media said passengers and luggage were offloaded and a thorough security check of the aircraft was conducted, during which the bomb threat was confirmed to be a hoax.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the source of the threatening email.
