Trump added that the operation was conducted in coordination with law enforcement agencies. He further said that more details regarding the operation will be shared during a press conference later tonight.

Meanwhile, Colombia and Cuba have strongly condemned the US attacks and have called for an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council.

The Cuban president stated that he demands an immediate response from the international community against what he described as criminal attacks carried out by the United States on Venezuela.

Similarly, Russia strongly condemned the US attacks, stating that the assault on Venezuela is a clear violation of international law.

It is worth noting that the United States has carried out airstrikes on Venezuela’s capital, Caracas, and several other regions, targeting key military installations and the Ministry of Defense.

At least seven powerful explosions were heard in Caracas. Residents also reported seeing US military CH-47 Chinook helicopters flying at low altitude, further increasing fears of war following US threats.
