Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk): The Anti-Corruption team conducted a raid in Sara-e-Alamgir and arrested Market Committee Sub-Inspector Zeeshan Ali while he was receiving a bribe red-handed.
During the operation, the bribe amount paid by a citizen was recovered from the accused and taken into custody as marked currency notes.
According to officials, a case has been registered against the arrested officer and legal proceedings have been initiated. The Anti-Corruption team stated that government officials who demand bribes from the public will not be shown any leniency, and strict measures against corruption will continue with the cooperation of the district administration.
Anti-Corruption authorities have urged citizens to immediately report any demand for bribes by government officials so that timely action can be taken and public trust can be restored.
