The inauguration ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner Gujrat, Ms. Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi, and Member of Provincial Assembly Ejaz Ahmed Rania, alongside DPO Rana Umar Farooq. A large number of citizens also participated, welcoming the initiative.
Inspector Muhammad Zulqarnain, In-Charge of the Dinga Police Service Center, briefed the attendees, explaining that previously, residents of Dinga and surrounding areas had to travel to Gujrat or Kharian for various police-related matters, wasting both time and resources. Now, services such as police clearance certificates, character certificates, missing person reports, FIR registrations, and other police services will be available locally under one roof.
DPO Gujrat, Rana Umar Farooq, instructed the police staff to ensure smooth provision of all services at the center, emphasizing courteous and service-oriented conduct. He stated that the establishment of police service centers is a significant step toward the prompt resolution of public issues and transparent policing.
In his address, the DPO highlighted that the police are committed to protecting lives and property while providing maximum convenience to citizens. He said the Dinga Police Service Center will symbolize convenience, trust, and accessibility, further strengthening the relationship between the public and the police.
The initiative is expected to not only enhance public convenience but also modernize and make the policing system more citizen-friendly.
