The rally commenced from the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Gujrat and passed through various city roads before concluding at the Assistant Commissioner’s Office Gujrat. The rally was led by Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Gujrat, Waqar Safdar Sikandari, and Member of the Provincial Assembly Syed Madad Ali Shah. Chief Executive Officer Health Dr. Syed Ata-ul-Munim, Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Zafar Abbas, District Population Officer Umar Farooq, Medical Superintendent Dr. Ghamkhawar Hussain Shah, along with officers from various government departments, were also present.
Representatives of WASA, Rescue 1122, Anjuman-e-Tajran, civil society, and various civic organizations actively participated in the rally. A large number of students, members of the trader community, and citizens made the event memorable with their presence. Participants carried placards and banners inscribed with slogans supporting the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and condemning Indian oppression. The atmosphere resonated with powerful slogans such as “Kashmir will become Pakistan” and “Indian oppression unacceptable.”
Addressing the participants, speakers stated that the Pakistani nation stands firmly with its Kashmiri brothers and sisters and will continue moral, political, and diplomatic support for their freedom struggle at every level. They emphasized that the core objective of observing Kashmir Solidarity Day is to remind the international community that the Kashmir issue remains a living reality and must be resolved in accordance with United Nations resolutions.
The speakers further stated that the Kashmiri people have endured decades of Indian brutality and oppression, but their sacrifices and struggle will not go in vain. Pakistan will continue to raise its voice for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination on every forum.
