Metro53 - Islamabad (Web Desk) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of being responsible for the recent resurgence of terrorism in the country. He stated that suicide attacks had once been eliminated, but policies adopted by a subsequent government led to a deterioration in the security situation.
Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, Tarar said that terrorists have no religion or faith and that their sole objective is to spread fear and chaos in society. He added that the government is taking comprehensive measures to ensure security at mosques, imambargahs, and other sensitive locations.
The information minister further said that investigations have confirmed that the suspect involved in the recent suicide attack had traveled to Afghanistan. He emphasized that the government will pursue terrorists and their facilitators at all costs and will leave no space for them in the country. Tarar asserted that the government will not rest until terrorism is completely eliminated.
