Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk):Former President of Alkhidmat Foundation, Muhammad Abdul Shakoor, has been appointed as Special Assistant to the Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan. Known for his progressive vision, youthful leadership, and strong commitment to social development, Muhammad Abdul Shakoor is a distinguished educationist and social leader.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the United States and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of the Punjab, Lahore. During his student life, he was elected President of the Punjab University Students’ Union, marking the beginning of his leadership journey.
While residing in the United States, he served as Secretary General of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA). Upon returning to Pakistan, he also served as President of Alkhidmat Foundation, one of the country’s leading welfare organizations.
Muhammad Abdul Shakoor is the founding Chairman of the Alfalah Scholarship Scheme, a well-known charitable initiative providing educational support to deserving and talented students across Pakistan. To further promote education, particularly for girls, he established Wisdom House in District Gujrat, an institution dedicated to quality education for female students, where he currently serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
He also had the honor of receiving guidance and training under Syed Abul Ala Maududi, reflecting his strong ideological and intellectual foundation.
