Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk):A tragic incident occurred near the traffic office in Gujrat, where a motorcycle rider and daily wage labourer lost his life after suffering a heart attack following a traffic challan.

According to details, motorcycle rider Tahir Baig, a resident of Chak Buzurg, was stopped by traffic police officials near the traffic office. Despite wearing a helmet, traffic personnel issued him a challan. The labourer reportedly pleaded with officials, stating that he did not have the money to pay the fine and repeatedly requested leniency.

During the incident, Tahir Baig suddenly collapsed and later died due to a heart attack. Following the death, traffic officials allegedly left the scene.

After a video of the incident went viral on social media, the Gujrat Police took immediate notice. According to a police spokesperson, Tahir Baig’s death occurred due to a cardiac arrest, while the challan was issued because the motorcycle lacked a number plate and the rider did not possess a valid driving licence.

The viral video reportedly shows the citizen walking alone before collapsing on the road. Taking notice of the incident, the District Police Officer Gujrat directed an inquiry under the supervision of the DSP City and instructed the SHOs of Adhviar and Lari Adda police stations to collect evidence related to the case.
