Metro53 - GUJRAT: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Gujrat, Noor-ul-Ain, with a delegation from the Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and Industry to address traffic-related issues at Staff Galla.
The meeting was attended by ADCG Saba Sahar, Chamber President Ahmed Hassan Mato, and other relevant officials. Former Senior Vice President Asad Bhatti, Haji Fayyaz Alam, and Nauman Aslam Gondal were also present.
It was decided that designated parking areas would be established under the Staff Galla bridge for motorcycles, “Ching Chi” rickshaws, and pushcarts to improve traffic flow in the area.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Municipal Committee Gujrat to ensure proper parking arrangements. The Para Force was instructed to impose fines for violations, and the Traffic Police were tasked with maintaining smooth traffic flow.
Officials said these measures aim to facilitate residents, traders, and commuters, while reducing daily congestion and improving overall traffic management in the area.
