Metro53 - Paris (Web Desk) — French media has exposed a coordinated disinformation campaign by India and Afghanistan against Pakistan and Iran, launched during Pakistan’s mediation efforts to ease tensions in the Middle East.
In a report, French television channel France 24 revealed the existence of a highly organized and ongoing misinformation operation targeting Pakistan. According to the report, cyber intelligence indicates that operators in India and Afghanistan are running the campaign, posing as Iranian social media users—particularly on X (formerly Twitter)—to spread false narratives.
Campaign Intensifies at Sensitive Time
The report notes that while such tactics are not new, the current campaign has intensified amid Pakistan’s sensitive diplomatic mediation between the United States and Iran.
Propaganda Through Fake Identities
Indian and Afghan networks are using fake Iranian identities to push misleading narratives and attempt to sabotage the US-Iran negotiations.
According to intelligence monitors, this is not an isolated incident but a coordinated and sustained strategy aimed at influencing regional diplomacy through digital manipulation.
