Metro53 - GUJRAT (Web Desk) – The district administration in Gujrat carried out a major operation against illegal encroachments, recovering around 700 kanal of government land worth millions of rupees.
The operation was conducted on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner under the supervision of Abdul Qadeer Zarkoon, with joint teams from revenue department, PERA, and police taking part.
During the action, illegal structures at various locations were demolished, and the land was vacated from the कब्जہ mafia and handed over to the relevant department. According to officials, the recovered land has been transferred to the Irrigation Department.
Authorities stated that the move was aimed at protecting state land and ensuring the writ of the government. They reiterated their commitment to continue indiscriminate operations against encroachments across the district.
Officials further clarified that a zero-tolerance policy has been adopted against land grabbers, and strict action will continue to ensure the protection of public resources.
