Gujrat Police Arrest Two Suspects Involved in Robberies

Metro53 - GUJRAT: Gujrat Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested two suspects allegedly involved in multiple robbery incidents during an ongoing crackdown against criminal elements.

According to police officials, the suspects — identified as Hasnain Ali, son of Ghulam Rasool, a resident of Kotla, and Shahzaib, son of Zulfiqar, a resident of Samrala — were apprehended in the jurisdiction of Kakarali police station.

Police said cases have been registered against the suspects under Sections 392 and 411 of the Pakistan Penal Code in FIR No. 506/25, while another case (FIR No. 316/25) under Section 392 is also under investigation.

During the operation, police claimed to have recovered stolen property from the suspects, including two Honda 125 motorcycles worth approximately Rs410,000 and two 30-bore pistols.

Initial investigations suggest that the suspects were involved in street robberies, targeting citizens at gunpoint.

Police officials described the arrests as a “significant development” and expressed hope that it would help curb crime in the area. They reiterated their commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens and continuing indiscriminate action against criminal elements.
