Metro53 - JHELUM: Deputy Commissioner Mir Raza Ozgen has warned that strict legal action will be taken against those found dumping sacrificial waste in streets, roads and open places during Eidul Azha.
Speaking to a delegation of the Jhelum Press Club regarding sanitation arrangements for the upcoming religious festival, the deputy commissioner said the district administration and teams working under the “Suthra Punjab” campaign were fully mobilised to ensure effective cleanliness measures across the district.
He said a special sanitation plan had been devised to provide citizens with a clean environment, adding that timely disposal of animal waste and continuous monitoring of the cleanliness operation would be ensured throughout the Eid holidays.
Mr Ozgen appealed to citizens to place sacrificial remains at designated collection points and cooperate with sanitation workers in order to help maintain cleanliness in the city.
He further said that relevant departments and helplines would remain active for the prompt resolution of public complaints, and residents could immediately contact the district administration in case of any issue or emergency related to sanitation arrangements.
