Metro53 - Jhelum: Police have arrested two suspects for allegedly misbehaving with traffic police officials, obstructing government duties, and blocking a road after being stopped for violating traffic regulations.
According to a spokesperson for Jhelum Police, the SHO of Kala Gujran Police Station and his team carried out a swift operation and took both suspects into custody shortly after the incident.
Police said the individuals were stopped during a routine traffic check for violating traffic laws. Instead of complying with the authorities, the suspects allegedly behaved inappropriately with traffic wardens, interfered with the performance of official duties, and blocked the road, disrupting the flow of traffic.
The incident reportedly caused significant traffic congestion and inconvenience for commuters. Upon receiving information about the situation, Kala Gujran Police reached the scene and initiated legal action against those involved.
A case has been registered against the suspects, and further investigations are underway.
Commenting on the incident, Shafiq Ahmed Chaudhry said that Jhelum Police remain committed to ensuring the rule of law, protecting public servants, and facilitating citizens.
He emphasized that strict legal action will continue against anyone involved in obstructing official duties, misbehaving with law enforcement personnel, or creating difficulties for the public.
