Metro53 - GUJRAT/LAHORE/SKARDU: Pakistan Muslim League President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has urged the people of Gilgit-Baltistan to cast their votes on the basis of performance rather than promises and slogans in the upcoming elections.
In a statement, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain expressed confidence that the party’s election symbol, the tractor, would secure significant success in the June 7 polls. He said that Pakistan Muslim League candidates would live up to the trust placed in them by the public.
Highlighting the party’s past achievements, he said that a new era of development was initiated in Gilgit-Baltistan during the Pakistan Muslim League’s tenure. He claimed that the party had delivered improved infrastructure, better road networks, and enhanced education and healthcare facilities across the region.
Shujaat Hussain added that, under his guidance, the party was conducting an active and extensive election campaign in Skardu and other parts of Gilgit-Baltistan.
He reiterated his appeal to voters to evaluate political parties based on their practical performance rather than campaign rhetoric. He also paid tribute to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, stating that they had made remarkable sacrifices in the struggle for freedom and consistently demonstrated their commitment and loyalty to Pakistan.
The Pakistan Muslim League leadership expressed optimism that the electorate would support candidates who prioritize development, public welfare, and effective governance.
