Metro53 - LAHORE: A statement submitted by Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) MPA Saqib Chadhar to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) in connection with a harassment case involving actor Momina Iqbal has surfaced, containing a series of allegations and counterclaims.

According to media reports, Chadhar told investigators that he first met Momina Iqbal in 2020 and that the two subsequently developed a close relationship. He claimed they travelled together both within Pakistan and abroad, with him bearing all related expenses.

In his statement, the lawmaker alleged that Momina Iqbal and her family had concealed details regarding her previous marriage and divorce. He said he decided not to proceed with marriage after learning of the information and ended the relationship in August 2025.

Chadhar further alleged that Momina Iqbal’s sister, Rimsha Iqbal, received 10,000 Australian dollars through blackmail and that he had also paid 13,000 Australian dollars towards her university fees. He claimed to have transferred Rs8.3 million to Momina Iqbal’s bank account at different times.

The MPA also alleged that photographs and videos stored on Momina Iqbal’s mobile phone were used as a means of pressure and that unidentified individuals had threatened to make the material public. He maintained that Momina Iqbal was fully aware that he was married and claimed that call data records supported his position.

Rejecting the allegations against him, Chadhar said the complaint submitted to the NCCIA and police contained contradictions and false statements. He further alleged that Momina Iqbal’s husband, Hamza, had issued death threats against him, adding that a case had been registered in Chiniot in this regard.

Meanwhile, a sessions court in Lahore issued a written order granting interim bail to Saqib Chadhar and his wife, Samira, in the case registered by the NCCIA.

Additional Sessions Judge Irfan Ahmed Sheikh directed both applicants to join the investigation and ordered them to appear before the court on every hearing date until a final decision on their bail applications is made.

The case remains under investigation, and the allegations made by both sides are yet to be adjudicated by a court of law.
