Metro53 - JHELUM: A special Eid gathering and appreciation ceremony was organized in Sohawa to honor sanitation workers who played a key role in maintaining cleanliness during the Eidul Adha holidays.

The event was held under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner Ghazala Asghar to recognize the dedication and hard work of workers involved in the special cleanliness operation carried out across the town during the festive period.

Hosted at a local marquee, the ceremony aimed to acknowledge the efforts of sanitation staff who remained on duty to ensure a clean environment for residents throughout Eid celebrations.

Officials and staff of the Suthra Punjab Agency, including supervisors, Field Monitoring Officers (FMOs), Assistant Monitoring Officers (AMOs), and other personnel, attended the event. A cake-cutting ceremony was also held to share the joy of Eid with the participants.

Workers who demonstrated exceptional performance during the cleanliness campaign were praised for their commitment. With the support of philanthropists, each sanitation worker received a cash award of Rs2,000 in recognition of their services. Certificates of appreciation were also distributed among officers and field staff.

Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Ghazala Asghar said the successful cleanliness arrangements during Eidul Adha reflected the dedication, hard work, and spirit of public service displayed by sanitation workers. She noted that such initiatives not only boost staff morale but also encourage improved performance in the future.

The ceremony concluded in a pleasant atmosphere, with refreshments served to participants as officials and workers celebrated the success of the Eid cleanliness operation.
