Metro53 - GUJRAT: District Police Officer (DPO) Gujrat, Akhtar Farooq, conducted a detailed inspection of the procession routes in Moinuddinpur and Dilanwala in connection with the upcoming observance of Muharram-ul-Haram and reviewed the security arrangements put in place for the occasion.
According to official details, the DPO examined entry and exit points of the processions, sensitive locations, deployment of police personnel, and the overall security plan, including search and sweep operations. Relevant officers briefed him on the measures being taken to ensure the peaceful conduct of Muharram events.
During the visit, Akhtar Farooq directed officials to utilize all available resources to maintain law and order during Muharram, emphasizing that no negligence in security duties would be tolerated.
He further instructed officers to ensure continuous monitoring of procession routes, effective checking procedures and close coordination among all concerned departments to provide a safe and peaceful environment for mourners.
The DPO reaffirmed that Gujrat Police would remain on high alert throughout Muharram-ul-Haram and continue taking all necessary measures to protect lives and property while maintaining peace and public order across the district.
