Metro53 - LAHORE: Former Pakistani actress Nargis has said that she has been earning since 1992 and never brought her income home without first paying Zakat on it.
Speaking about her commitment to religious obligations, Nargis said that she considers Zakat not only a fundamental Islamic duty but also a source of blessings and purification for one’s earnings. For this reason, she always made it a priority to fulfill the obligation before using her income.
The former actress further stated that she approached her profession with seriousness and responsibility throughout her career. According to her, she treated her work as a form of devotion and performed it with dedication.
Nargis maintained that anyone reviewing her career would find it difficult to identify instances of vulgar dance performances or inappropriate content, emphasizing that she always sought to uphold professional and moral standards in her work.
