Metro53 - GUJRAT: Chief Executive Officer of the District Health Authority Gujrat, Dr. Syed Ata-ul-Munim, conducted late-night surprise visits to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Kharian and the Government Trauma Centre Lalamusa to assess healthcare services and overall hospital performance.
During the inspections, the CEO reviewed staff attendance, emergency services, labour rooms, cleanliness arrangements, and the quality of patient care being provided at both facilities.
At THQ Hospital Kharian, Dr. Ata-ul-Munim expressed satisfaction with the cleanliness standards and maintenance of medical records. However, at the Government Trauma Centre Lalamusa, he took notice of a delay in cleaning procedures following a delivery case and sought an explanation from the relevant administration.
He warned that negligence in such matters would not be tolerated and directed hospital management to ensure strict compliance with cleanliness and hygiene protocols.
The CEO Health also instructed administrative and medical staff to guarantee the timely provision of quality healthcare services, maintain high standards of sanitation, and strictly follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), including the prescribed dress code.
Dr. Ata-ul-Munim emphasized that any negligence or carelessness in patient treatment and care would be unacceptable. He further stated that the performance of public hospitals across the district would continue to be monitored regularly to ensure improved healthcare delivery and accountability.
The surprise visits were part of ongoing efforts by the District Health Authority to enhance service quality, strengthen administrative oversight, and ensure better healthcare facilities for patients in Gujrat district.
