Metro53 - Lahore (Web Desk): Social activist and psychologist Dr Nabiha Ali has approached the Family Court seeking khula (judicial divorce) from her husband, Haris Khokhar.
According to the petition filed through her counsel, Chaudhry Mudassar Advocate, Dr Nabiha Ali has requested the court to dissolve the marriage.
In her petition, she alleges that her husband, Haris Khokhar, subjected her to physical abuse, used abusive language, and treated her in an inappropriate and degrading manner. She further states that she no longer wishes to continue the marital relationship and has therefore requested the Family Court to grant her a decree of khula.
The Family Court is expected to proceed with the matter in accordance with the applicable legal process. Haris Khokhar's response to the allegations has not yet been included in the court proceedings or publicly presented in relation to this petition.
