Metro53 - GUJRAT (Web Desk): Gujrat received 182 millimeters of rainfall within four hours as persistent heavy rain lashed the city, leaving water accumulated on several roads and in various areas.
Field teams of WASA and Suthra Punjab have been mobilized for dewatering and sanitation operations, while all disposal stations are operating at full capacity to ensure the timely drainage of rainwater.
According to the district administration, backup generators have also been arranged at all disposal stations to keep drainage operations running in case of power outages.
The administration has urged citizens to stay away from electrical installations during rainfall, avoid unnecessary travel, and contact the relevant authorities in case of any emergency.
