Metro53 - The Punjab government has appointed senior police officer Rana Umar Farooq as the new District Police Officer (DPO) of Gujrat. An official notification in this regard has been issued.
Rana Umar Farooq previously served as SSP in CTD Intelligence, where he was responsible for handling counter-terrorism related matters.
He has earlier served as DPO in Sialkot, Khanewal, and Jhelum.
His appointment in Gujrat is expected to improve the law and order situation and bring effective policies to combat crime.
