Metro53 - Islamabad (Web Desk) — Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Barrister Ali Zafar has said that the party’s founder has been placed in solitary confinement, a condition he termed unacceptable and unjustifiable under any law. He stated that no legal basis exists for such treatment.

Speaking on Geo News programme Capital Talk, Barrister Zafar said he was grateful that the PTI founder was safe, but the circumstances in which he is being held are a matter of concern. He added that the party’s stance has always been in favour of peaceful protest, which he described as a constitutional and legal right.

The senator said he would seek further guidance during his next meeting with the PTI founder, and the party’s future strategy would be framed in light of that consultation. He emphasised that solitary confinement is not only unlawful but also a violation of human rights, adding that relevant legal options are being examined.
