Metro53 - Gujrat: The Labour Welfare Department has issued notices to seven establishments for violations of labour laws following inspections of brick kilns, industrial units and commercial establishments in the district.
According to District Officer Labour Muhammad Idrees Gujar, a total of 15 establishments were inspected during the operation. Of these, three were found to be compliant with labour laws, while no instances of child labour were reported at any site.
The department issued advisory notices to four establishments regarding Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) requirements. Violations identified at seven units included issues related to workers’ rights and workplace safety.
Officials said the inspections would continue to ensure the protection of labourers’ rights and strict implementation of labour laws. Legal action will be taken against violators to ensure that workers are provided a safe and fair working environment.
