Metro53 - Quetta (Web Desk):After a long wait, rainfall has finally begun in Balochistan, bringing pleasant weather to various parts of the province. Light showers were recorded in Quetta and surrounding areas in the morning, creating a fresh and enjoyable atmosphere for residents.
The Meteorological Department reports that western winds have entered different parts of Balochistan, making rainfall likely in approximately 70 percent of the province. Areas including Gwadar, Naukundi, Dalbandin, Taftan, Qalat, Hub, and others are experiencing intermittent light rain, with more regions expected to receive rainfall in the next 24 hours.
On December 21, northern Ziarat and nearby areas are expected to witness rain, while hilly regions may see snowfall, potentially increasing the cold in those areas. Rainfall is also expected in Chagai, Noshki, Washuk, Panjgur, Kech, Gwadar, Qalat, and Mastung, while Quetta, Killa Abdullah, Killa Saifullah, Ziarat, Harnai, Chaman, Musa Khel, and Zhob may experience rain along with snowfall in mountainous areas.
Authorities have advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel, especially in hilly areas, and to take precautionary measures during rainfall and snowfall. Meteorologists say the recent rainfall is welcome news for Balochistan and may help reduce the ongoing drought conditions.
