Metro53 - Quetta (Web Desk): In Balochistan’s Sui area, a commander of a banned outfit, Wadera Noor Ali Chakarani, along with more than 100 associates, surrendered their weapons and pledged loyalty to the state of Pakistan.

The commander and his men handed over their weapons to Mir Aftab Ahmed Bugti, and holding the national flag, took an oath to join the national mainstream.
The surrender ceremony was attended by dignitaries from district Dera Bugti as well as media representatives.

According to the report, BRA militants attacked Noor Ali Chakarani and his companions while they were on their way to Pakistan House to surrender. However, they safely reached the venue and successfully laid down their arms. A large cache of weapons and ammunition was surrendered under the supervision of Pakistan House caretaker Mir Aftab Bugti and the Deputy Commissioner of Dera Bugti.

Noor Ali Chakarani also announced the formation of the Chakarani Peace Force against Fitna al-Hindustan (BRA), terming it an important development in the current security landscape of Dera Bugti and a major setback for other militant groups operating in Balochistan.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti congratulated the surrendered commander and his group for joining the national mainstream, calling it a message of peace for the state and the people. He added that anyone mistaking the state’s leniency for weakness will be pursued.

The Chief Minister reiterated that those who renounce violence and accept the Constitution of Pakistan will continue to be welcomed, while intelligence-based operations against anti-state elements remain effective.
He said that due to the successful counter-terrorism efforts of the security forces, surrender has become inevitable for militants—an important step toward restoring peace in the region.
