Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk): Gujrat Police have achieved a major success in their ongoing campaign against criminal elements in the district. Police Station City Jalalpur Jattan arrested a dangerous three-member gang involved in multiple cases of theft and robbery. During the operation, stolen property worth millions of rupees and illegal weapons were also recovered.
Action on the Orders of DPO Gujrat
According to details, on the directions of DPO Gujrat Rana Umar Farooq, vigorous action is being taken across the district to eliminate crime. In this regard, special police teams were formed under the supervision of DSP Sadar Circle Rai Sarfaraz Yousaf.
SHO Police Station City Jalalpur Jattan, Ahsanullah, along with his team, was assigned a special task to arrest suspects involved in theft and robbery cases. The police team identified the accused by using modern technology and professional skills.
Arrest of Adnan Alias Dano Dacoit Gang
After sustained efforts, police successfully arrested the three-member Adnan alias Dano dacoit gang. The gang is reported to be involved in multiple criminal incidents in Jalalpur Jattan and surrounding areas.
Stolen property worth millions of rupees was recovered from the possession of the arrested suspects, including a motorcycle, a loader rickshaw, a water motor, and two mobile phones. The recovered items were wanted in various cases.
Recovery of Illegal Weapons
During the operation, illegal weapons used in the commission of crimes were also recovered from the suspects. According to police, three 30-bore pistols were seized, which were being used in criminal activities.
Identification of Arrested Suspects
The arrested individuals have been identified as Adnan Afzal alias Dano, son of Muhammad Afzal, resident of Thikriyan; Azhar Hussain, son of Mazhar Hussain, resident of Qadir Colony, Jalalpur Jattan; and Muhammad Imran, son of Ghulam Muhammad, resident of Kaira Mohalla.
Further Investigation Underway
Police stated that further investigation of the arrested suspects is ongoing, and more criminal activities may be uncovered during interrogation. Gujrat Police affirmed that indiscriminate operations against criminal elements will continue to ensure the safety and security of citizens.
