Metro53 - Madinah.(web Desk)Sheikh Faisal Nauman, a muezzin of Masjid al-Nabawi (PBUH), passed away on Monday evening in Madinah.
His funeral prayers were offered after Fajr prayers on Tuesday, following which he was laid to rest at the historic Jannat al-Baqi cemetery.
In a post on social media platform X, the administration of the Two Holy Mosques said Sheikh Faisal Nauman passed away on Monday, December 22. His funeral prayers were held on December 23 at Masjid al-Nabawi (PBUH) after Fajr prayers.
The Haramain administration also shared a video of Sheikh Faisal Nauman’s last adhan on social media, which he delivered on November 2.
According to the administration, Sheikh Faisal Nauman was appointed as a muezzin at Masjid al-Nabawi (PBUH) in 2001. The calling of the adhan was a family tradition, as his father and grandfather had also served in the same role.
It added that Sheikh Faisal’s father was appointed as a muezzin at the age of 14 and continued his services at Masjid al-Nabawi (PBUH) until his death at over 90 years of age. Following his father’s passing, Sheikh Faisal Nauman took over the responsibility and served as a muezzin for 25 years.
