Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk) – Authorities in Gujrat have taken action against illegal encroachments, sealing a wood factory situated in front of Science College on GT Road. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Gujrat, Abdul Qadeer Zarkoon.

Administrative sources said the factory had unlawfully occupied a green belt, affecting public land, city aesthetics, and community convenience. After receiving multiple complaints, the Assistant Commissioner inspected the site and, upon confirming violations, ordered the factory to be sealed immediately.

Assistant Commissioner Abdul Qadeer Zarkoon emphasized that green belts are a vital part of the urban environment and no encroachments will be tolerated. He stated that keeping public areas, roads, and green spaces free of illegal occupation is a top priority to ensure a clean, beautiful, and convenient environment for citizens.

Officials added that city-wide operations against encroachments will continue, and no one will be allowed to occupy public land unlawfully. Encroachments not only create traffic problems but also contribute to environmental pollution and urban disorder.

The administration’s action has been positively received by residents. Departments have been instructed to enhance monitoring systems to protect green belts, and citizens have been urged to report any encroachments to authorities promptly to ensure timely action.
