Metro53 - Karachi (Web Desk): The Sindh government has granted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) permission to hold a rally at Karachi’s Jinnah Ground.
Provincial Minister Nasir Hussain Shah confirmed the approval, emphasizing that all political parties in Sindh have the constitutional and legal right to conduct political activities. He noted that PTI leadership, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sahi Afreedi, was warmly welcomed in Sindh and will not be stopped from carrying out political activities.
Shah clarified that no restrictions can be imposed on peaceful political struggle, whether by PTI or any other party. He added that any violation of law during political events could cause issues, but for now, there is no restriction on the Jinnah Ground rally. The government’s aim is to ensure law and order while safeguarding political freedoms.
PTI has also submitted requests to hold rallies in Korangi and South Zone. Shah said these applications are under review according to legal requirements. Authorities are coordinating with PTI leadership to finalize administrative and security arrangements for the Karachi rally.
The minister assured that the rally will take place in a peaceful environment without causing public inconvenience and stressed that political activities must continue uninterrupted in a democratic society.
