CM Maryam Nawaz Praises Lahoris for Upholding Safety During Basant

Metro53 - Lahore (Web Desk): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has praised the people of Lahore for strictly following safety SOPs during Basant, saying she is pleased that Lahoris lived up to the trust placed in them.

In a statement, Maryam Nawaz said that Lahore is happy today and she is happy as well, adding that the citizens played a key role in celebrating a safe Basant by adhering to rules and regulations.

She said that the concept of a joyful yet safe Basant was fully embraced, and no reports were received regarding the use of banned kite strings or strings other than the approved size and paper.

The chief minister stated that Basant was celebrated safely on rooftops in accordance with SOPs, and due to the non-use of metallic wires, transformers also remained protected. She added that the concept of “Safe Basant” will be extended to other cities after Lahore.

Maryam Nawaz further said that 200 Clinics on Wheels and 21 field hospitals were deployed in every area. She noted that today is the final day of the Basant festival and urged the public to continue exercising caution.
