During the event, approximately 3,000 talented students from the Gujranwala Division will be awarded laptops and scholarships. The initiative aims to encourage capable students and promote higher education. From the University of Gujrat, 846 students will receive laptops, while 268 students will be awarded the “Honhaar Scholarship.”
The ceremony is expected to be attended by provincial ministers, members of the assembly, vice chancellors of various universities, senior district administration officers, and high-ranking officials from the Higher Education Department. Special arrangements have been made regarding security, guest reception, student seating, and the distribution process.
During the meeting, Registrar Muhammad Naeem Butt, along with deans of various faculties, directors, the treasurer, and the controller of examinations, briefed the Vice Chancellor on the administrative preparations. Vice Chancellor Dr. Zohair-ul-Haq stated that the Punjab government’s education-friendly initiatives are commendable and that such events help foster a competitive spirit among students while further improving their academic performance.
According to the university administration, responsibilities have been assigned to all departments to ensure the ceremony is conducted in an organized and dignified manner, allowing students to receive government-provided facilities in a timely way.
