Metro53 - Islamabad (Web Desk):Ali Amin Gandapur has claimed that the most significant efforts for the release of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan were made by Mohsin Naqvi, who also contacted a Field Marshal in this connection.
Speaking to the media, Ali Amin Gandapur said that Mohsin Naqvi demonstrated serious commitment to resolving the matter and held discussions at various levels. He stated that Mohsin Naqvi is the only individual who has the capacity to directly present his stance before the Field Marshal.
He further said that Mohsin Naqvi also communicated with the top military leadership regarding the issue of Imran Khan’s release in order to find an acceptable solution.
Meanwhile, protests by the opposition alliance have intensified over demands for Imran Khan’s transfer to a hospital and the provision of medical facilities. The opposition alliance, Tehreek Tahafuz Aain Pakistan, has announced that it will continue its sit-in at Parliament House Islamabad.
The alliance maintains that the protest will continue until Imran Khan is provided complete medical facilities and permission for meetings.
Opposition Leader in the Senate, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, stated that the sit-in would not be called off until an opposition office-bearer is allowed to meet Imran Khan. He said that the issue is not political but relates to humanitarian and constitutional rights.
Ali Amin Gandapur added that PTI leaders would continue their protest outside the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House, while party workers have been instructed to remain peaceful. He said the party would adopt every constitutional and democratic path to protect the rights of its leader.
Political analysts believe that the current situation, marked by statements and counterclaims, is further increasing political tension. The growing rift between the government and the opposition underscores the need to resolve the issue through dialogue and within the constitutional framework to reduce political instability.
