Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk):A tragic traffic accident in Kharian claimed the life of a 94-year-old elderly man. Upon receiving information about the incident, the control room of Rescue 1122 immediately dispatched emergency teams to the scene.
According to rescue officials, the deceased was identified as Piran Ditta, son of Ahmed Khan, a resident of Haji Chak. Initial reports revealed that he came under the tire of a tractor trolley, resulting in a fracture to his right leg. Due to severe injuries and excessive bleeding, the elderly man died on the spot.
The rescue team, in the presence of police, shifted the body to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Kharian. Police officials stated that investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the accident, though it has initially been declared an accident.
Local residents have urged the administration to enforce stricter safety measures for heavy vehicles and agricultural machinery in rural areas to prevent such tragic incidents in the future.
