Metro53 - Islamabad (Web Desk) – Due to rising geopolitical tensions, the federal government has put forward important proposals regarding petroleum products. According to sources, it is suggested that prices of petroleum products be revised weekly instead of every 15 days.

Petrol and diesel prices will be adjusted according to international market competition. Sources say the Ministry of Energy has prepared a working plan and briefed the Prime Minister, who will now decide on price revisions in consultation with the economic team.

Officials noted that if the situation remains critical, the federal government may make a decision on this matter soon. Additionally, monitoring against hoarding of petroleum products has been tightened.

It is worth mentioning that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) stated yesterday that the country currently has ample petrol and diesel reserves. OGRA’s spokesperson advised citizens not to pay attention to rumors and rely only on official information released by the government.
