Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk): Deputy Commissioner Gujrat, Noor-ul-Ain, along with Member of Provincial Assembly Syed Madad Ali Shah, visited the Dalanwala area of Gujrat to review public issues and meet local residents.
During the visit, residents highlighted serious drainage problems, stating that rainwater accumulates on roads, causing significant difficulties for commuters and daily life. They demanded a permanent solution, including the construction of a proper drainage channel alongside the road.
Taking immediate notice, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Chief Officer of the District Council, Syed Faraz Mehdi, to prepare a cost estimate for the drainage project and submit it for approval so that construction work can begin as soon as possible.
She reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to resolving public issues by utilizing all available resources and emphasized that delays in development projects would not be tolerated.
