Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk): The local administration in Sarai Alamgir has intensified efforts to improve sanitation and drainage systems across the city. During an inspection of various neighborhoods, including Mohalla Aurangabad and Kotian, Farooq Azam reviewed ongoing desilting operations and assessed the performance of the “Suthra Punjab” teams.
The Assistant Commissioner directed that the desilting process be accelerated and made more efficient to ensure the proper functioning of the drainage system. Authorities emphasized that the measures aim to prevent any inconvenience to residents and improve urban hygiene.
Officials also conducted a detailed assessment of the city’s nullahs (drains) and stressed the need for continued monitoring to maintain cleanliness standards in the area.
