Metro53 - Islamabad (Web Desk): Defence Minister Khawaja Asif stated that Pakistan’s security has been strengthened and credited the country’s leadership for recent strategic and diplomatic achievements.
In his statement, Khawaja Asif said that after a long period, Pakistan faced a challenge from its long-time rival, India, and responded effectively, earning global recognition for its defence capabilities. He added that the world has acknowledged the strength and professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces.
Reflecting on history, he said that one of the defining moments came when Nawaz Sharif decided to conduct nuclear tests, making Pakistan part of an exclusive global club.
He further stated that today Pakistan has emerged as a key player in international diplomacy and a strong advocate for peace in the region. He emphasized that global attention is now focused on Islamabad due to its role in promoting dialogue and stability.
The Defence Minister also praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for taking the country to new heights, expressing hope that Pakistan’s peace efforts will continue to succeed.
