Metro53 - GUJRAT: Deputy Commissioner Gujrat, Noor-ul-Ain, visited Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital and inaugurated newly established waiting areas for patients and attendants, aimed at improving public healthcare facilities in the district.
During the visit, the deputy commissioner inspected the waiting areas constructed outside the Cardiology Ward and Radiology Department, where seating arrangements, shaded spaces and access to clean drinking water have been provided for visitors.
Medical Superintendent Dr Saud Afzal and other senior doctors accompanied the deputy commissioner during the tour. Ms Noor-ul-Ain also reviewed the hospital’s Medical Examination Department and the newly established digitisation centre at the pathology laboratory, where computerised medical certificates and laboratory reports are now being issued.
She further inaugurated a new parking facility for doctors and appreciated the hospital administration for taking steps to enhance patient care and service delivery.
Speaking on the occasion, the deputy commissioner said the provision of modern and quality healthcare facilities to citizens remained the government’s top priority.
