Metro53 - JHELUM: Efforts to restore and improve the historic Bhai Karam Singh Gurdwara in Jhelum have been accelerated following special directives issued by Deputy Commissioner Mir Raza Ozgan.
According to officials, the assistant commissioner visited the historic waqf property located on Railway Road to review ongoing development and administrative work at the site.
During the visit, progress on the expansion, renovation and beautification of the gurdwara was inspected in detail. Officials concerned briefed the assistant commissioner on the pace and quality of the ongoing work.
An important meeting was also held on the occasion under the chairmanship of the assistant commissioner, attended by officers from various departments. Participants discussed measures to address issues related to the gurdwara through mutual coordination and consultation.
The meeting also reviewed development projects being carried out around the site and steps aimed at improving facilities for Sikh pilgrims so that visitors could be provided with a better environment and improved amenities.
