Metro53 - GUJRAT: Three members of the same family, including a woman, were shot dead in an alleged domestic dispute in the village of Buzurgwal in Kharian tehsil on Monday, police said.
According to police officials, the suspect, identified as Qazi Noman Arshad, allegedly opened fire following a family disagreement, killing his brother Qazi Sufyan Arshad, his sister-in-law Rimsha Tariq, and his uncle Muhammad Munawar Mari.
Police said the accused fled the scene after the incident, triggering a search operation in the area.
A heavy police contingent reached the crime scene, took custody of the bodies, and shifted them for legal formalities and post-mortem examination.
Authorities later confirmed that the suspect had been taken into custody and was being interrogated. Investigators are collecting evidence and recording statements to determine the circumstances that led to the deadly shooting.
