Metro53 - ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced a significant increase in petroleum prices, issuing a new notification that will take effect from July 11 across Pakistan.

According to the notification, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs13.18 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has gone up by Rs13.80 per litre.

The Petroleum Division said the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs310.71 per litre, while high-speed diesel will now cost Rs323.30 per litre.

The revised rates will come into effect nationwide from July 11, meaning consumers will have to pay higher prices for both petrol and diesel.

The government reviews petroleum prices every fortnight, taking into account fluctuations in international oil prices, exchange rate movements, and other economic factors before announcing revised fuel rates.
