Metro53 - KARACHI (Web Desk): The Additional District and Sessions Court South has accepted the acquittal plea of Anmol alias Pinky, an accused in a narcotics case registered at Gizri Police Station, and acquitted her from the case.
According to Dunya News, Anmol was represented by advocate Anam Kausar before the court. The defence counsel argued that a drug case had been registered against Anmol at Gizri Police Station in 2021 and that she had remained a fugitive in the case.
The defence maintained that Anmol was nominated solely on the basis of statements given by co-accused. The two other co-accused, Ali and Fahmida, had already been acquitted by the court in 2024.
The defence further argued that following the acquittal of the co-accused, there was no reasonable possibility of Anmol being convicted in the case.
After hearing the arguments, the court approved Anmol alias Pinky's acquittal plea and ordered her acquittal from the case
