Metro53 - LONDON: Jemima Goldsmith, the British film producer and former wife of PTI founder and former prime minister Imran Khan, has married Australian-Irish businessman Cameron O’Reilly, according to British media reports.
The 52-year-old Ms Goldsmith married Mr O’Reilly, 62, over the weekend, The Daily Mail reported. Mr O’Reilly is the son of Sir Anthony O’Reilly, a prominent Irish-Australian businessman and former international rugby player.
The couple reportedly met while Mr O’Reilly was working as an executive producer on a number of films and documentaries. They initially developed a friendship, which later turned into a romantic relationship.
Ms Goldsmith’s brother, Ben Goldsmith, also confirmed the marriage, while his wife, Jemima Jones, shared a message on social media describing it as “such a happy day”.
Mr O’Reilly has four children, while Ms Goldsmith has two sons, Sulaiman and Qasim, from her marriage to Imran Khan.
Ms Goldsmith and Mr Khan were married in 1995 and separated in 2004. Their divorce was formally finalised in 2005. The couple have remained connected through their two sons.
Mr O’Reilly worked in his father’s media business for about a decade before joining Australian media group APN News & Media. He stepped down as chief executive in 2000. Three years later, he established a private investment fund and acquired Swiss metering company Landis+Gyr, which was later sold to Toshiba in 2011 for $2.3 billion.
Ms Goldsmith’s second marriage comes around a year after the death of her mother, Lady Annabel Goldsmith. Her father, billionaire businessman Sir James Goldsmith, died in 1997.
Ms Goldsmith has continued to speak publicly about Imran Khan and has called for his release. The former prime minister has remained in custody since 2023 in connection with several cases. He denies corruption allegations against him and maintains that the cases are politically motivated.
