Metro53 - Karachi (Web Desk): CIA Police conducted a raid at Qadri House in Nazimabad, Karachi, and detained more than 12 individuals, including Sunni Tehreek chief Sarwat Ijaz Qadri.
According to police officials, the operation was carried out to arrest three wanted suspects allegedly involved in extortion. During the raid, small and large weapons were recovered from the custody of the arrested individuals, along with several ammunition magazines.
However, according to a private TV channel Samaa, the central spokesperson of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek strongly condemned the police raid. In a statement, the spokesperson claimed that more than 20 party office-bearers and workers, including Sarwat Ijaz Qadri, were arrested. The spokesperson further alleged that police personnel broke the CCTV cameras at Qadri House in an attempt to conceal the operation.
