Metro53 - Peshawar (Web Desk): Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, has announced that preparations for a street movement have begun on the instructions of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
He stated that during the movement, the public will exercise their democratic rights under the Constitution, including the right to peaceful protest. Addressing a ceremony, Sohail Afridi emphasized that the movement will be carried out strictly within the framework of the Constitution and the law.
The Chief Minister urged the public, particularly the youth, to remain vigilant against anti-state narratives and negative propaganda, and to adopt a conscious and responsible approach in political activities.
He said that the movement would serve as a platform to highlight public issues and pursue democratic struggle. He made it clear that there would be no room for violence or lawlessness against the government or institutions, and that all actions would remain within legal boundaries.
According to Sohail Afridi, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will use the street movement to highlight its demands and to raise political awareness among the public. He specifically advised the youth not to pay heed to misinformation and propaganda spread through social media and other platforms, and instead focus on fact-based information.
The Chief Minister added that the movement is important for the promotion of democratic processes and constitutional rights, and will help empower the public to seek solutions to their problems. He reiterated that every step will be taken in accordance with the Constitution and the law to ensure that the political struggle remains peaceful and organized.
