Metro53 - Islamabad, Karachi (Web Desk): On the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid glowing tributes to him in their separate messages to the nation, declaring adherence to his principles as the guarantee of national development.
President Asif Ali Zardari, in his message, said the day is not only to pay tribute to Quaid-e-Azam but also to remember the unwavering resolve and tireless struggle that played a fundamental role in the creation of Pakistan. He said that as the nation faces various challenges, Quaid-e-Azam’s leadership and principles continue to serve as a guiding light.
The President said Quaid-e-Azam was a strong proponent of democracy, justice, and equality, and these values remain central to Pakistan’s national journey. He emphasized that the message of unity, faith, and discipline is still indispensable for development, social harmony, and strengthening national confidence.
President Zardari noted that the nation is moving toward Quaid-e-Azam’s 150th birth anniversary next year, calling it a significant milestone. He stressed the need for serious reflection on Quaid-e-Azam’s life and struggle, renewing commitment to his vision, and passing on his ideals to future generations with honesty and purpose. He also urged the youth to remain connected with Quaid-e-Azam’s values and play their role in building a peaceful and inclusive Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in his message on Quaid-e-Azam’s 149th birth anniversary, said the entire nation pays heartfelt tribute to the Father of the Nation on this occasion. He said Quaid-e-Azam’s birthday is a day of reaffirming commitment, and acting upon his guiding principles at both individual and national levels is essential.
The Prime Minister said Quaid-e-Azam preached harmony and justice without discrimination of color, race, or religion, adding that faith, unity, and discipline are the guarantees of a bright national future. He stated that Quaid-e-Azam remains a beacon of light for future generations, and his political wisdom made the creation of Pakistan possible.
Shehbaz Sharif said Quaid-e-Azam changed the course of history by turning the dream of Muslims into reality, struggled for an independent, sovereign, and welfare state, and defeated colonial powers. He urged the nation to renew its resolve to work together, following Quaid-e-Azam’s footsteps, for the dignity, security, and prosperity of the country.
