Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk) – The Health Department has intensified operations to protect public health and eliminate quackery. CEO Health Gujrat, Dr. Ata-ul-Munim, and DDHO Tehsil Sarai Alamgir, Dr. Waheed Kamran, visited the villages of Phrowal, Patnwala, Khadriwala, and Union Council Sambli with the health team.
During the visits, Qasim Homeo Clinic was inspected and found to be practicing allopathic medicine illegally. The clinic was immediately sealed, evidence was collected on-site, and proceedings to forward the case to the Punjab Health Care Commission in Lahore have begun.
Further inspections at Akbar Memorial Clinic in Khadriwala, run by a certified female MBBS doctor, revealed no irregularities. However, guidance related to MSDs indicators was provided during the visit.
Overall, two clinics were inspected, with one sealed for illegal activities. Health officials stated that such measures will continue impartially to safeguard public health and completely eradicate quackery.
