Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk):Gujrat Police have achieved a major success in their ongoing crackdown against wanted criminals and those involved in serious crimes across the district. The City Police Jalala Pur Jattan have arrested a fugitive wanted in a murder case, who had been evading law enforcement for over a year.
According to details, under the special directives of DPO Gujrat Rana Umar Farooq, vigorous and effective operations against wanted criminals are being carried out throughout the district. In this regard, a police team led by SHO City Jalala Pur Jattan Ehsan Ullah SI conducted an intelligence-based operation and successfully apprehended a dangerous criminal.
Police sources identified the arrested suspect as Ali Raza, son of Muhammad Irfan, a resident of Maji, district Mandi Bahauddin. He was wanted in a murder case and had been living in hiding for the past year. According to police, Ali Raza, along with other accomplices, brutally murdered Ali Shan, son of Muzaffar Iqbal, resident of Mohalla Akbarabad, over a minor dispute a year ago.
Following the incident, the suspect fled the scene and continuously changed locations to avoid arrest. However, through modern investigative techniques, confidential information, and persistent efforts, the police team ultimately succeeded in capturing him.
Authorities stated that further investigation is ongoing, which may lead to important revelations regarding other accomplices and possible facilitators. DPO Gujrat Rana Umar Farooq praised the police team’s performance, emphasizing that indiscriminate operations against wanted criminals will continue, and the safety of citizens and their property will be ensured at all costs.
He further stated that Gujrat Police will leave no space for criminals to escape justice, and evading the law will no longer be possible. Members of the public have welcomed this successful operation, expressing hope that such measures will further improve law and order in the region.
